Actors Help for Building Your Team

    Building your team.

One of the most important pieces to becoming famous is building a team of people that have your best interest in mind. Rob Tencer says: "Your team should consist of the following: Your parent's support, manager, agent, entertainment lawyer, and an acting coach (or acting classes)." Because publicists don't work on percentages, they will be costly if you are not a working actor, making money. So, unless you're wealthy, and your goal is to become an actress and not a socialite, then celebrity and socialite publicist Rob Tencer says: "wait until you're working and making money, before getting a publicist." Your team should consist of the following: Your parent's support, manager, agent, entertainment lawyer, and an acting coach (or acting classes). Do not think you are going to get Angelina Jolie's or Keira Knightley or any other hot A-lister's agent or manager when you're just starting. If your team is getting you where you want to be, then stick with them. As you get more work, or a bigger agent or manager discovers your work and wants to sign you, Rob Tencer recommends having some loyalty. He reminds you that you have worked with your team successfully, and you can trust them. How can you trust a person so quickly, whom represents so many others competing with you for the same jobs? It's your decision, and that's why Rob Tencer makes the following list of agents available for you. I think there might be a couple modeling agencies as well. If you see any outdated information, please send us an email.
