parents beware: children and stardom sometimes equal drug addiction and alcoholism

So your son or daughter want to become a famous child star. Please give some thought to allowing them to follow their dreams, while keeping them grounded as young adults, so they don't grow up in the wrong company.

In conjunction with my help for parents with drug and alcoholic addicted children (dr. sober) , I see the need to help the parents that's children want to quit school, move to hollywood or new york and go on auditions and take acting classes.

While some children go on to become famous, it is not without a cost. I now bring you some realities of children that have made it to become famous hollywood actors and actresses:

Kirsten Dunst

Transplant New Yorker Kirsten Dunst could be easily found strolling the streets of SoHo, smoking a cigarette, or partying it up in a LES bar with your hipster friend - all with a smile on her face. But apparently life wasn't so happy for Dunst, who sought treatment at the Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah in early 2008, explaining that she had been feeling "low" in the six months prior to her going to rehab.

Haley Joel Osment

A judge ordered “Sixth Sense” star Haley Joel Osment to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for six months and go through 60 hours of rehab after the actor pleaded guilty to drunk driving and marijuana possession in Los Angeles in 2006.

the list goes on and on, but its not about these famous children. It is about your children. While they can keep their dreams alive, they can also grow up and get an education. Please enjoy your time with your children, with love and the best parenting skills you can give them.
